New Head for WIZO Israel's Fundraising Campaign

The former head of the IDF Manpower Division, Major General Orna Barbivai, is appointed Chairperson of WIZO Israel's fundraising campaign 
 
 
         
 
 
She will be assisted by a committee specifically established by WIZO, which comprises public figures and past and present senior managers from the Israeli economy and society, including: Ika Abarbanel, former VP of TEVA Pharmaceuticals and Brigadier General (reserves), Miri Shapir-Navon, wife of former Israeli president Itzhak Navon, Shuki Forer, former mayor of Rehovot, Aia Azrialant, businesswoman and jewelry designer, Adv. Yosi Sadeh, Adv. Riki Caspi, Brigadier General (Police reserves), Ziva Agami, former head of the national unit for fraud investigation, Rami Guzman, former VP Finance of Motorola Israel and member of the board of  Bank Leumi, and others.
At a festive event to celebrate her taking on this role, in the presence of the WIZO Israel Executive, Barbivai said that during all the time she was serving in the IDF she was aware of the social gaps existing in Israeli society and today she is very pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to reducing this gap. “It’s a great privilege to be involved in fundraising for an organization that is working for the education and equal opportunities for  children and youngsters,  and assisting underprivileged sectors of our society. I am completely dedicated to this task with a sincere intention to help as many people as possible.”
Gila Oshrat, Chairperson of WIZO Israel congratulated Barbivai and thanked her for volunteering for one of the most significant roles in WIZO and for Israeli society. “It is a great privilege to work with a ground breaking woman like Orna who will contribute her capabilities to support WIZO's efforts for children, youngsters and women at risk. I am sure that Orna will spearhead a real change”. 
Barbivai is replacing Mr. Haim Cohen, former CEO of D&B group and one of the founders of Citibank Israel in this role.
