Beit Heuss – Herzliya Pituach (Sponsored by WIZO Germany)

Beit Heuss, Herzliya Pituach, is a unique project, in the name of Professor Theodor Heuss, the first President of the Republic of West Germany. This is a unique center, the only one of its kind in Israel, that was established by WIZO in 1967, in order to assist men and women to cope with severe family problems, through personal enrichment and group dynamics, in a residential holiday style environment. Support workshops, covering a variety of topics provide participants with the skills and tools to deal with their problems upon returning home. The weeklong workshops offers programs to suit the needs of the specific group – including dynamic group work, behavioural patterns, role-playing and more. The consultative staff includes psychologists, social workers and other professional advisors according to need. The local welfare authorities and social service departments are responsible for referring individuals and couples to Beit Heuss.
